Here is the January programming that we have arranged; I have also attached a flyer.
Monday, 1/9/23 @ 6pm– Introduction to the Business Model Canvas.
This will be a short review of the Business Model Canvas a tool that can be used for new and existing business and get you ready for a business plan. February will be the beginning of a new virtual series called the Roadmap to Business Success. This series, formerly ASU Startup School, has been editing and updated for a virtual environment and we will go into much greater detail with the Business Model Canvas than the Intro class.
The classes will be 6 sessions long held virtually on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm. I’ll send more information as the classes are approved.
Saturday, 1/21/23 @10:30am – Social Media Marketing for Business
Staff from the Arizona Microcredit Initiative, a 501c(3) non profit will be presenting this workshop. In this workshop, social media experts will explore the overall demographics of various social media platforms and how to utilize key performance indicators to increase engagement for your business!
Monday, 1/23/23 @6pm – MS Word Basics for Business.
Previous knowledge of MS Word would be helpful but this is a very basic class that will cover the functions used in a business/job setting.
Monday, 1/30/23 @ 6pm – Maker Monday: 3D Printed Keychain.
We are going to design keychains that you can use or give away as gifts. The ones you design in class will be printed for free and available within one week after class.
Saturday, 1/28/23 from 10am to 5pm - 26th Annual Arizona Songwriters Gathering
This is not strictly a business program but there will be lots of great music and presentations. Fervor Records will be here to talk about music copyright, etc. as well as an open Q&A.
Listening! Learning! Networking! Inspiration! Performers, writers, and audience members of all ages are welcome to this FREE event. Kick-start your songwriting career or just kick back and enjoy the music as we celebrate our 26th anniversary with over 50 live music performances on two stages all day.
Bring your voice and your instrument to take part in open song sharing circles. Learn from workshops and lectures presented by nationally recognized experts, with topics including song critiques, understanding copyright, a Q&A with local label Fervor Records, song crafting for the performing songwriter, and a history of the music scene in Arizona. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with songwriters, producers, and performers.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from “Diner on Wheels” throughout the event. The Arizona Songwriters Gathering is held in partnership with the Glendale Main Library and the Arizona Songwriters Association. Sound support and sponsorship is offered by Barnett Productions.
